consider the So Cal Section AAPT meeting this weekend (21 April)
at Harvey Mudd College. We have workshops in the morning, invited

of Magnitude Question," and door prizes at the end of the meeting.

Wish I could be there. The "Order of Magnitude Question" is specially
tantalizing. I would be glad to hear some commentary on the topic.

I have been thinking of the order of magnitude as representing
an increment of the power of ten, so I have mentally placed bounds on
an order of magnitude estimate at about X 0.32 and X 3.2

But what should it mean?

According to UTM,
x+7 and 34x have the same order of magnitude, and if I take
x = 100, then 107 and 3400 miserably fail my bounds test.
