Lenz's Law has nothing to do with the configuration being any kind of
equilibrium state.
Lenz's Law applies to the equilibrium of maintaining a CONSTANT
magnetic flux through the loop.
(Sounds like LaChatlier & [stable] equilibrium to ME!)
