Re: Oppenheimer quote

A quick Google search on the quoted phrase turned up this:

"In some sort of crude sense which no vulgarity, no humor, no
overstatement can quite extinguish, the physicists have known sin;
and this is a knowledge which they cannot lose."

--J. Robert Oppenheimer, Scientific Director of
Los Alamos Laboratory,
where the first atom bombs were designed and built. In:
"Physics in the Contemporary World,"
Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, Vol. IV,
No. 3, March 1948, p.66.

This is probably a reprint of the original lecture given at MIT on 25
Nov. 1947.

I am forwarding this in hopes of help,

Thanks

Dear Sir,

I am looking for a speech by Robert Oppenheimer from 1947. The speech
includes his famous expression "phycisists have known sin."

I hope someone out there could be of assistance.

Yours sincerely
