Henri Le Chatelier, it comes as a shock to realise, died less than
70 years ago. (1850-1936)

Some thoughts on words....
'Chatelier' etym. dub. possibly meant 'squire'.
The 'Britton' surname frequency (found often in Sussex, England),
suggests the Bretons who in migrated after the Norman Revolution
from Brittany.

Chuck, what happened to your genetically favored language skills
in the last nine hundred years? :-)
