Please ignore the claim I made prematurely (by mistake) this
morning. It may be true that two methods of averaging (as
posted by JohnM and by Leigh) produce different results
but I have no right to say it. Why? Because I discovered
a bug in my code implementing JohnM's method (cells
c and e were confused). I will verify the two methods
and will post the result this weekend.

This message is posted to correct what I wrote and to
prevent the unnecessary debate. It was a good example
that comparisons of outputs of codes written independently
can help to find errors.
