Re: Principia

I pronounce it as a K, but those of us who spent part of our youth in
university choirs and such know that latin has migrated over the last
2000 years to the point that nobody really knows for sure. Another
problematic latter is G (angelli, is it like angel, or is it with a hard
g). Or go to four different latin scholars and have them pronounce
veni, vedi, vici and you possibly could get four different
pronunciations. Consistency is what is crucial.

Is principia pronounced "prinKipia" or" prinSipia"?

I think it depends whether you are speaking Latin or English.
In Latin 'C' is pronounced as a 'K' as in 'Kaiser' for Caeser.
I think this is true for all C's

So it is usually "prinKipia".

Personally I don't think it matters. Just be consistent.
"PrinKipia mathematiKa" or "PrinSipia MathematiSa" :-|
