Thank you so very much to all those who responded to my plea

For your information the piece that I was inquiring about was the 10 Dec 60
Minutes interview of Prof Larry Farwell with Mike Wallace.

For those interested, more information can be seen at the following sites:

Farwell's own site --

It was interesting to look over Farwell's site. This described some
studies in which the CIA were involved. I may have mentioned
on this list a slightly comparable methodology using a tachistoscope
which shows conceptual delay in subjects' responses to emotionally
charged material, presented visually and briefly.

I seem to recall some scalp electrodes being used to capture
evoked responses to visual stimuli in unrelated studies.
There appeared to be a relation in that case between measures of
inverse delay and intelligence.

My initial feeling would be this:
Show me a study using criminals and sociopaths and psychopaths
because these folks may present unusual responses of various kinds.
Specifically, a person who does not feel any guilt or shame about
criminal activity would not necessarily be expected to respond in
a way typical of people who have a ..er.. conscience.
