Wow a 16 week semester! We are at what amounts to a 14 week semester.

One word of warning. When we shortened the semester, but kept conservation
of class minutes (never-mind what that does to student understanding wrt to
their material digestion time); it lasted one or two years; then we lost the
class time.  So if that trick is pulled, do your best to stick to your guns!
