Re: Mass/Energy concepts and terminology



Let me ask the list a question: Does an iceberg and, if melted, the
water from this iceberg weigh the same? Would one say that both
"substances" have the same mass?

It would have the same mass, but wouldn't the iceberg have a
different weight becaue the the variance the the gravitational field
from top to bottom (assuming the water spreads out).
