If you look at one of the books by Rosyln Driver et al, you will find a
nice compendium of misconceptions, from which you can create a nice set of
questions to assess whether your students have these ideas. The private
universe builds on the work Driver et al and others have done. There are
also the meetings held at Cornell, which can be found on the web.
