The function of bodies that breed standards is to issue forms. It is clear to me that the crafters of these principles were of Biology background, and what is good for them is good for all, somehow. Since a good teacher can defend almost anything that is happening in the classroom as aligned with one or several standards, I expect even more will rush to plug this little hole. The first sentence here must be proper since form follows function.
