AD: Two T-T physics positions at NKU

Hello:
We have advertised for two tenure-track positions in physics. If you
know someone who might be interested, could you pass the information
on? Northern Kentucky University is in the Greater Cincinnati
metropolitan area. We are an undergraduate Department. A few more
details are below.

Tenure-Track Physics Positions
Northern Kentucky University

The Department of Physics and Geology invites applications for two
tenure-track positions in physics at the assistant professor level
beginning in August 2001. Undergraduate teaching experience and a
Ph.D. in physics by time of appointment are required. Teaching
responsibilities include all levels of undergraduate physics courses
and labs. Candidates with experience in interactive engagement
teaching methods are preferred. The candidate will be expected to
develop a modest research program involving undergraduates and
contribute to the department's educational outreach programs.
Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate an interest in
teaching and mentoring diverse student populations. The new Center
for Integrative Natural Science and Mathematics provides
opportunities for support in achieving these goals and in other
professional activities. The department includes physics, astronomy,
and geology, which enhances opportunities for collaboration on a
broad range of projects. A new science facility under construction,
with instructional rooms designed for interactive engagement and
improved research space, will offer additional support in achieving
these goals. Send letter of application, curriculum vitae, separate
statements of teaching philosophy and research interests, and the
names, addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses of three
references to: Physics Search Committee, Department of Physics and
Geology, Northern Kentucky University, Highland Heights, KY
41099-1900. Candidates may be required to submit additional
documentation. Applications must received by Jan. 31, 2000. For
