Regarding:

The number of rationals (aleph-null) is indeed much less than the number of
reals (aleph-one).

What does "much" mean in this context?

*Crudely* speaking, it means that the number of reals is the *exponential*
of the number of rationals (or equivalently, the logarithm of the number
of reals is the number of rationals).
