Unlike magnetism, where a line is a measurement of flux, no
such unit exists for electric field. If you want to make one
I suggest that an electron should produce (minus) one line of
electric flux. If you want to be quarky that could be three
lines. If you want to be irrational you could make it four pi
lines. There's something appealing about having a
transcendental quantum.
