Subject: Human Reaction Time

We just did the drop/catch meter stick experiment and found human reaction
time to be 0.21 s with a standard deviation of 0.05 s. I searched the
internet and found a reference that matched the mean closely, but could not
find a reference for the standard deviation. What have others found for
this
experiment?

Those results are consistent with what we get from a number of reaction time
measurements. We do the "drop/catch" - and we also do an experiment in
which a "signal" is transmitted around a circle of students. The signal
ranges from a "hand squeeze" to a punch on the shoulder, depending on the
testosterone level of the class.
