I have a couple of questions regarding the FCI (I apologize for not
bothering to check the original sources to find this stuff out):
Is it true that FCI results are only valid when they are NOT used as part
of the grade?
If so, can we really expect gains of 100% when students know the exam
doesn't affect their grade?
If not, can I use the FCI as an ungraded pre-test and as a graded
post-test? Does this invalidate the gain scores?
