Re: exams on file

If you do *not* put your exams on file, then you guarantee that the frat
boys can buy their way through your course. Its part of the good ole boy
system, which is centuries old.

However, be aware that your interfering with the fraternities' unfair
advantage will bring on the wrath of the same system. If you really want
to see yourself in trouble, just catch one of them cheating and report it.
Most faculty take an osterich pose to prevent having to deal with it. The
attitude is that the *real* physics students don't belong to fraternities.
Duh.

If you place hard copies of your exams in the library, you can expect to
have them stolen, misplaced, or shuffled. If possible, post them to a
secure web site. Karl

This is an excellent practice!

Another reason for doing it is that some fraternities etc. keep exam files.
This gives an advantage to frat members etc. who have access to the files,
unless you level the field by keeping files that are open to all.
