A psychologist friend of mine was doing a test which involved the reaction
times that it took subjects to categorize things as either weapons or
furniture, e.g., sofa, sword, knife, ...
MOST students classified a "hassock" as a weapon. She had to take the item
out of the test because it was a test of reaction time assuming everyone
would be accurate.
