I cut the throat and base out of a plastic 2 liter cola bottle.
The aperture was 42mm, the balls were 12mm.

I poured in a quart of glass marbles.
*One* fell out - then with a tiny flex, another layer slid out,
then the rest; the flow was somewhat quantized, despite the flex
in this 'funnel'.
