If we must continue to discuss/debate this area in this forum (despite a
host of other internet venues dedicated to this very topic) I would at
least ask that the discussion try to discuss the points of the relevant
physics of the situation. I would like to keep the level religion down
to such things as whether or not 'heat' is a 4-letter word when used as
a noun, whether or not energy is real and/or flows, whether or not there
are tidal bulges on the Earth, whether or not Bernoulli's principle gives
a decent explanation of lift, etc.

oooooh, and let's also not exclude the questions of whether entropy
has no relation to disorder, whether pointed lightning rods are
merely political statements, and whether jerking the table cloth has
nothing to do with inertia!
