if you look at the centriptal acceleration it has two components one normal
to the surface of the "bank" and one tangential. the normal component only
increases the "push back" reaction force. the tangential component is the
one that attempts to keep you going in a straight line and creates moments
between the tires and center of mass. the normal component is great and
allows you to hit the throttle. as an old dirt biker, i love :"burms". the
ultimate is, of course a 90 degree burm where you can accelerate to your
hearts content!!!
