There was a battle in WWI off the Falklands involving Admiral Graf Spee, who had led his
ships around the horn and was coming into the Atlantic.
There was most definitely a battle in 1939 off the river Plate involving the pocket battleship
'Graf Spee', which Commodore Harwood and his squadron successfully engaged.
