Re: Sources of Colored Chalk



Thanks for the interesting discussion on colored chalk. Here we
have predominently "greenboards" in the physics lecture halls. I had never
noticed problems with colored chalk at other places I have been, but that
may be because of the surfaces, not the chalk used. It would seem that
someone should be able to produce colored chalk with appropriate binders so
that it would work on the non-slate boards, but with the increasing use of
whiteboards, probably no one wants to bother. Within the next few years,
our physics facilities will be totally remodeled and we'll be contemplating
switching to whiteboards then.
