Re: Where to publish results?

At 20:57 3/13/99 -0500, you wrote:
I don't have an answer to your question as to where to publish such

However, I have a strong admonition to *very carefully* look at the
scientific conclusions and the frequent absence of controls in such
projects. Having done biophysics research myself, I can attest to most
such research belonging to the JIR (Journal of Irreproduceable Results)....

Dr. Karl I. Trappe

How could one do other than sympathize with Carl's point?
And if the hunger one sometimes sees from the medical community
to publish should rightly be thwarted, what hopes are there for
high school students?

I would like to think that flawed sudies from young students
might provide an innoculation against the media romance with
health studies. Which leads the public to discard dairy products,
then embrace milk, then consume bulk quantities of non nutritional
roughage like sawdust ( which seems to verge on the pathological)
and so on.

But I have my doubts! :-)
