It's a test sometimes given during the pilot's physical.
I lasted 12 this morning, and 20 this afternoon on a soft carpeted floor.
I wouldn't expect this facility to be strongly age based.

   It is now well accepted that pilots CANNOT maintain control in
instrument conditions without some instrument reference. In the First
World War, people thought otherwise, with inevitable results.
