I read about these in some radical magazine like Scientific American a
couple of years ago. A chap built one large enough to throw a Buick several
hundred yards. Now THAT'S a physics demo fit for a Texas school. If we used
one to throw a student's used Cadillac across the parking lot, maybe we
could attract as much attention as the fellow in Amarillo who buried six
Cadillacs in a row with their tial fins sticking up.
