RE: B battery



If I'm not mistaken B batteries were used in very old tube-type portable
radios...and were used to suppy the plate voltage. They were 45 V I think.

Does anyone know the story or reason why there are D,C, AA, AAA size
batteries but "B" was either skipped or not produced anymore? My
students were asking and I did not have a clue.
