Re: A quote from ?

Is it Shakespere's

"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio!
than are dreamt in your philosophy".

Many people are not aware of this. And some think that it is
the other way around. Here is another old quote. It is from
New Organon, by Francis Bacon (published in 1620).

"And therefore far better things, and more of them, and at
shorter intervals, are to be expected from man's reason
and industry and direction and fixed applications than
from accident and animal instinct and the like in which
inventions have hitherto had their origin."

Francis Bacon (1561-1626) was an English politician and
philosopher. Reasoning (natural philosophy) did become
more useful that it was in the past.
