Speaking from experience, I can tell you that they don't explode, but when
you put one in the dishwasher by accident, all of the fluid mysteriously
disappears==probably escapes thru, well, gee, I don't know. These are
not new inventions, we have had one for minny, minny years ( for most of
them without its liquid.) If you are going to purchase one, get the metal
kind. the plastic ones do not work nearly as well. M.J. Clarke.
