As you might deduce from the subject line, I'll looking for suggestions
for a text in thermodynamics.

You might want to look at Ralph Baierlein's new book, "Thermal
Physics." If it is not in print already, it should be coming out
soon. I have looked at it in manuscript form, and it is worthy of
consideration.
