"Ten cubits across and thirty cubits in diameter" ? What did the

Bible exactly say.

Since I don't have a Hebrew Bible handy, you'll have to settle for a
translation (NIV). This is probably more meaningful to you anyways.

I Kings 7:23
He made the Sea of cast metal, circular in shape, measuring ten cubits from
rim to rim and five cubits high. It took a line of thirty cubits to
measure round it.

Ok, it doesn't say "diameter" anywhere. Neither does it say "circumference"
anywhere, nor "exactly 10 cubits", nor "exactly thirty cubits", nor
"perfectly circular".

.... this was a rather cute spoof on the news, politicians, and Biblical
literalists - but there wasn't a lot of original material in it.
