The Department of Physics at North Carolina A & T State University
anticipates filling one tenure-track assistant-professor position
beginning August, 1998. The University, a land-grant institution, is an
HBCU (Historically Black College/University) enrolling approximately 8,000
students. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate
and graduate physics courses, advise students, write proposals, acquire
research funding, conduct state-of-the-art research, and participate in
university activities.
Preference will be given to those with research experience in
physics education and/or observational astronomy.
Applicants must have a Ph. D. in physics or an equivalent degree
in a related field. Applications will be reviewed beginning April 15,
1998, and the review will continue until the position is filled.
