If someone on Earth determines that you are traveling at 10 c,
someone else--moving in some very reasonable manner with a speed
less than c wrt to Earth--will determine that you are traveling
backward in time

Whether a "tachyon" is possible and just how its kinematical properties
might yield to our measurements is a matter of speculation. In 1960 I
wanted to do a thesis speculating that a tachyon with c < v < oo (v
being the "velocity parameter" in its momentum-energy 4-vector) would
mathematically be interpretable as traveling backward in time, and would
be measured by us as an anti particle traveling forward in time with 0 <
v < c. This topic was rejected as unprofessionally weird. Nowadays such
speculations are rampant!
