ANOTHER textbook misconception!



Now that Ludwig's List seems to have settled down and the furor has
subsided a bit, I'll add a personal favorite of mine. My students just
reminded me of it as we dragged out the superconductors and liquid nitrogen.

All motion does NOT stop at absolute zero.

Zero point energy can be calculated theoretically and experimental evidence
indicates that superconducting currents as well as flow of superfluid
Helium continues down to absolute zero.
