(And Watt was indeed an instrument maker at the U of Glasgow where
he listened to Physics profs, before his descent to Birmingham
and the Soho Manufactory, whence Priestley escaped the mob's
disfavor for his Revolutionary sympathies, later
where the Lunar Society fermented scientific discussion.)
