Just in case you didn't see the notice in the Planetary Society's
newsletter, all who were members of the society in '96 had their names
engraved (using electron lithography) on a microchip that was sent with the
ill-fated Mars mission that year. However, duplicates were made and
another was sent along with the latest expedition and now resides on Mars.
So all of us who were members then now have our names (sort of) on the
surface of Mars. Kinda neat, huh?
