Re: book synopsis: Women's Ways of Knowing

The 1997 book may be Knowledge, Difference, and Power: Essays inspired by
Women's Ways of Knowing. This is not the book Jane is talking about, I
don't believe. I am surprised WWK is out of print, but it was very
commonly available. It seems possible some bookstores might still have
it.
Also, search by a bookstore for it in the newsletter bookstores have for
this purpose might turn up a copy. It should be in good academic
libraries.

Dewey,

According to amazon.com the 1997 book is "Women's Ways of Knowing : The
Development of Self, Voice, and Mind" by Belenky, Clinchy, and Goldberger.
Also, the 1988 book bye the same authors and publisher is, according to
amazon.com, "Women's Ways of Knowing". They state it is not only out of
print but hard to find, and they predict a two to three month wait if it
is ordered from them.
