Lab Finals
I have used lab fuinals for many years. I think they are good. Students
in general did not like them. They are difficult to administer and
create but only if you make them true LAB finbals, ie the student MUST
measure something. If you only test theory or use made up data it is
not a true lab final.

I agree with Alex. I tried using them at Okla State. There is some work
by Kruglak on this in AJP from the late 50's I believe.
