You need good air table to isolate vibrations from optics experiments.
You need shielded and secure storage for radioactive sources.
You need at least one computer with good internet connections to do
things like remotely controling a telescope or some of the
other advanced instruments available on the internet.
You need some copies of Lab View.
A good color printer, flatbed scanned, digitizing tablet.
Good vacuum pump or two
Good digital oscilloscope
You can never have too much electronics
Storage for electronic parts
Lots of leads and places to hang them
You can never have too many storage cabinets.
