My analysis in quick step follows:

(1) The schools are teaching lies, (2) the students are being
groomed to be cogs in a giant machine
....
etc.

Ivan Illich wrote about it years ago in "Deschooling Society".
Paradoxically, he was one of the influences that made me think maybe I
should become a teacher.
