Certainly not. I can remedy the problem in those who will
admit there is a problem. That's why I do it that way.

I always keep some demo stuff in my office to grab in case
a teachable moment arises. Lenses, mirrors, magnets, a
"Thermobile", meter sticks... Lots of stuff. Every physics
teacher should keep such stuff around.
