Are you sure that 2000 is a leap year? I thought perhaps 2000 was an
exception to the 400-year rule, just as 400 is an exception to the
100-year rule (and 100 is an exception to the 4-year rule).
These are like successive terms in a series!

Yes, that's as far as the approximation has gotten yet, giving us the
Gregorian year of 365.2422 days, which is just a wee bit long. Since
the mean tropical year is 365.242199 days, the next correction would
be to make ordinary those years also divisible by 1,000,000.
