RE: Calculus books...

Dwight,
there is a rather slim cheap paper back book called "Quick Calculus" which
has been in existence for something like 30 years, but is exactly what you
are looking for. I don't recall the author or publisher off hand, but am
reasonably sure its still in print (at least it was a couple of years ago
when I saw it in a bookstore). Perhaps someone else on the list can give
the author and publisher as it was once a rather well know book (less well
known nowdays).

Greetings everyone! This may not pertain to this list exactly,
but I was wondering if someone could help me out. I'm looking into
teaching AP chemistry and physics courses at my high school. I've looked
over some of the texts that are calculus based. I then looked over one
of my old college engineering calc. texts and to my horror, I could not
remember how to do some of the problems. Nothing is more frustrating
than knowing that I used to be rather proficient in this, but I could not
work out all of the problems.
I'm sure if I get a quick overview of it, I should be okay. Can
anyone recommend a decent book that goes over the basics? A sort of
"Calculus for Dummies" which is about how I feel right now. :-) Any
help would be appreciated.

Dwight
