I have one of these Revolution devices that seems to exhibit very
strange behavior.
If I set the barbell against the glass and leave it "spinning or not" it
seems stable. I can set the whole thing where I believe it is isolated
from vibration and air currents, I can watch it until I grow weary and
it remains sitting there in this configuration. I look several hours or
days later and the barbell is nolonger suspended but has slipped back
half its length and lies half in the apparatus and half on the table
top.
I think it waits until I turn my back and then it climbs up the
potential well in an attempt to escape!
