RE: Tensor textbooks

Sandy,
I've found Bernard Schutz's book to be very good at being rigourous and
modern and yet approaching the matter of tensor mathematics and differential
geometry from a stance which matches well with typical training of a junior
or senior physics major.

the info is:

"Geometrical Methods of mathematical Physics" by Bernard Schutz
published by Cambridge University press

His "A first course in General Relativity" also has a lot of good
overlapping material.

Hi, I am doing a course in mathematics and physics (Second level). I am
interested in finding a textbook with a good coverage of tensors (let's
say Cartesian :-) ) and their link with the Levi-Civita (alternating
tensor) and the double-delta and leading to vector calculus. I am
interested in the component exposition. With a reasonable level of the
derivations starting from permutations and determinants.

Anybody know of a good text(s)?

Thanks,
Sandy
