All ends of a polar bear are decidedly negative and become more so
the more closely you resemble a seal. It is a mammalpole.

Then I suppose the seal has a negative attitude, since it tries to flee
from the bear.
On the other hand, the bear seems attracted to the seal.

Very confusing.

Hi Clarence!
I think you're correct in that the seal has a NET negative charge
which accounts for the overall repulsive force which drives it away
from the negative bear. But since the seal is also POLAR-ized, there is
one end of it that appears to be positively attractive to the bear and that
is what dominates his action . This process if allowed to proceed to
completion can possibly seal-a-meal for the bear, which may be more
than the seal can bear.
