You can also have the students measure the shutter speed if they don't
completely destroy the mechanism when removing the lens. Set the shutter
manually, place it between a light bulb and a photocell and look at the
cell output on an o-scope when the students trip the shutter. Figuring
out how to set the shutter is a challenge, and it's different for
different model cameras.
