Greetings everyone and happy holidays. I have a question that is
Easter and Physics related. I noticed some things while preparing some
eggs to be colored.
Why is it one way you can tell the difference between a
hard-boiled and uncooked eggs is by placing them water. One would float
and the other would sink. Since the yolk is in a shell, I assume there
is no loss or gain of matter. Also, the size of the egg doesn't change,
even if you compare the same egg when it is uncooked and hard-boiled and
check them when it is at the same temperature.
Can anyone explain, why this occurs?
