Very strong magnets (and not demagnetizing easilly) are often called
supermagnets. They are made from alloys containing Nd or Sm. Couple of
years ago I got several of them from a company whose phone number was
1-800-MAGNET1 (Dowling Miner Magnets Co., Sonoma, Ca). Very inexpensive.
