Re: Overhead View Screens

What are "those interface-screen things" called that allow you to show your
computer screen on the overhead? Thanks.

Don't get one! Hold out for a projector instead. The transilluminated
(overhead projector) displays are hard to see and sometimes require a
special overhead projector.

I second that caution. The panels require such special conditions to
give a good image that they are essentially not useful in a dynamic
classroom environment. Ours sits in its case and we use a couple of TVs
to get a clear, bright, useful picture.

Some of the new devices that produce computer pictures on TVs are
inexpensive and make a very nice picture ... with an Averkey3 ($300)
and a Snappy ($200) and a good TV, you can do some remarkably powerful
things in class -- including capturing any image (like from a videotape
or Web page) for future presentation.

The projectors, however, give a nice, bright, large image.

Cheers,

Rick
